sorry folks! i know i've been missing in action for a looong long time. i have stopped mapling already. somehow whacking 2d monsters doesnt appeal to me anymore. an huuuge sorry to my maple friends especially - getting to know you all is a real blessing to my life!

75 Fun Ways To Order A Pizza

the release of the 3rd job advancement has finally come to mapleSEA!!!!

*runs around the house screaming my ass off*

this is the day i've been waiting for... its certainly a milestone in the history of my maplestory experience...

ive been playing maplestory since 2004... started with Global MapleStory then. i remember it was during the sec 4 prelims period when Janice introduced me to maple, and i was hooked to it since then! i remember i used to have a mage with 29 str... LOL!

after global shut down, i moved on to MapleSEA with a few of my close buddies. it was here i formed and mantained several close friendships with maple players. it was also here in mapleSEA where i experienced the ups and downs of relationships. come to think of it, i started playing in mapleSEA only because i had a close friend who persuaded me to, and who supported me all the way through my levels. this made playing maple a more of a bonding session than a mere game... it added meaning to the game. however, i think this friend soon decided that the power he gained with each increasing level was more exciting than the richness of bonding and soon became aloof. i was on the verge of quitting maple then. fortunately, there still were other close friends and the guild that kept me from steering away from maple. a big thank you to my maple friends!

now that the 3rd job has been released... i hope that even stronger bonds and better fun and greater meaning to mapleSEA awaits us. cheers, maplers!

recently leveled up!

went to see robeira in el nath, where i could begin my 3rd job advancement.

i was instructed to see Grendel the Really Old back in ellinia, and he instructed me to find the door of dimention to defeat his other self and obtain a black charm, which i had to return him in exchange for the necklace of strength. because i did not max holy arrow, i had to claw claw claw! it was tough and pots consuming. grendel also summoned 4 tauros, ALL of which i hit by accident!!! it was pretty chaotic, with the 4 tauros lightning-ing me and knocking into me and grendel magic-ing me. argh. if i had the chance to do 3rd job again i'd make sure not to hit the tauros. wasted many pots!

i then returned necklace of stength to robeira. cant wait for 3rd job advancement, part II! it's rumoured to be out on 8th jan 2006.

some useful information for clerics of my build to take note of:

- get someone to meditate u before u go in
- make sure u have plenty of all cure potions (grendel will lockyour skills) and red bean sundaes
- grendel's magic attack will give 800+ damage. it's better to use magic guard when defeating him.
- grendel will summon tauromacis. do not hit them until you have killed grendel, otherwise you may have to use many more pots than neccessary.
- tauromacis lightning deals 600+ damage, physical attack 300+ damage
- its ok to knock into grendel, his physical attack only gives 100+ damage

for your info, these were my stats when doing the 3rd job advancement...

i had a whole load of fun with needamiracle and xiaookaka at the event map!! took sooooo many screenshots, my folder is flooded! check out the brightest star at the top of the tree, my name those guys made for me, the snow, the presents, ETCCCC. didnt manage to take EVERYTHING tho; i failed to captured need and kaka kissing, our 'asshole', and those spell effects that made the tree uber cool. regret not capturing those moments!

theres this guy ive known since level 50+... thought he was okay... cos he doesnt ks me and changes channel automatically... but today i was made dissapointed. he was afk-ing at line 2 area 3 and i was training there. i knew that he was training in that area cos i've seen him a few minutes before i re entered that channel. so there i was getting my exp, and then he comes back and rudely says "cc pls" (BIG mistake!!!!), and starts giving many many excuses. of course i get annoyed. i mean... he's been afk-ing there, for goodness sake! and when he comes back, he claims the channel his! i dunno lah... i think thats super unreasonable. yeah, i know ive seen him, but thats still not a reason for him to shove me aside so rudely ya know??! we KNOW each other one LEH! and this is the way he treats me?! arrrrgh!!!

moral of the story: people u know will still turn their backs against you; never trust humans, especially the male species who give nothing but excuses.

i wont say anything bad about illusionz.. they're a bunch of friendly helpful people. but their management skills dont really match my belief system. i believe that guilds should not call for war just like that, and that rules and requirements should be in place for members to follow. r3biRth has awesome rules and their motto is PEACE, which matches my belief system exactly. the people there are nice too... a bit siao siao one... must be needamiracle influence them. hehe ;p hope r3biRth can grow well!

2) Dispel

3) Mystic Door

Level 10: MP -53; Portal is made for 120 seconds

4) Holy Symbol
Description: For a certain amount of time, everyone in the party can gain more EXP while hunting monsters. It only works 100% when the party is bigger than 2. (Requires Dispel Lv 3)

Level 1: MP -51; Experience value 102% for 32 seconds
Level 15: MP -65; Experience value 130% for 74 seconds
Level 30: MP -80; Experience value 150% for 120 seconds

5) Shining Ray
Description: Attacks multiple enemies at once with the ray of holy light. Applies massive damage to the undead monsters.
Master Level: 30
Level 1: MP -21; Basic attack 60, mastery 15%
Level 15: MP -35; Basic attack 88, mastery 35%
Level 30: MP -50; Basic attack 105, mastery 60%

6) Doom
Description: Turns multiple monsters into snails at once. Speed, attacking ability, and the looks all change. Does not work on boss monsters, and can only change upto 6 monsters at once. (Consumes 1 Magic Rock)
Master Level: 30
Level 1: MP -88; 52% success rate changes for 5 seconds
Level 15: MP -60; 75% success rate changes for 12 seconds
Level 30: MP -30; 90% success rate changes for 20 seconds

7) Summon Dragon
Description: Summons a holy dragon for a certain amount of time. The dragon will stay beside you and attack the enemies in the process. The higher the skill level, the stronger the summoned dragon is. (Consumes 1 Magic Rock)
Master Level: 30
Level 1: MP -32; Summon a dragon with basic attack 64 for 10 seconds
Level 15: MP -60; Summon a dragon with basic attack 120 for 80 seconds
Level 30: MP -80; Summon a dragon with basic attack 150 for 140 seconds

i will have 151 skill points to play around with. am currently very confused which skill i should add to... if i max the last 4 skills... i will have..
151 - (30 x 4) = 31 skill points left. this means i can only max ONE skill with master level 20. i will max either elemental reistance or dispel, and leave the other at 10sp. i'll add only 1 to mystic door.
then there's the problem as to WHICH skill i should add first. urg... can someone advise me?

i had a dream last night and it was about maple. i dreamt that there was this really paranoid girl who insisted i "cc" (change channel) at the very moment i entered her channel. i got real pissed in my dream, and started ksing her, until there was a major ks war which didnt end until i woke up.

does this situation sound familiar? there are lotsa *censored* *censored* out there in maple who think the whole world is gonna ks them, so being the typical kiasu singaporean they are, they copy and paste the words "cc pls" once they see that red dot appear in their mini map. i hate these people. these words are neither sincere nor do they make an impact on ME, and it makes ME sound as if I am just another kser who's out there to ks them out of their channel. its offenive! think before u speak, will ya???

so here's my warning to everyone:

Do NOT tell me to change channel the moment you see MY red dot appear on your mini map,
for I am not there to ks you,
I am in your channel only because I happen to be searching for one.
And if I heal,
it does not mean I want to ks you;
I am healing for 2 reaons:
1) my hp is real low
2) I did not see you in the map.
Please do not be such *censored* *censored*
and mind your words,

Tutorial: how to create an animated picture

i've received a few queries on how i created my animated forum signature.

to save myself from repeating multiple times to different persons, i shall explain exactly how i created this image once and for all... (btw, this method was taught to me by tzeching, who also sent me the programmes, so credits go to her)

1) firstly, you have to recognise that this animation is created frame by frame. i have taken many screenshots of xjsmx in the process of healing, so that i can piece the animation together later on. to take screenshots in maple, press your scroll lock key.

suggestion 1: create a folder where you can save all the screenshots under for easier management

2) crop the picture using any image editting programme such as paint or photoshop. you should get something like this:

suggestion 2: save your image as type "24-bit Bitmap (*.bmp)"
suggestion 3: use numbers that run in order to name your file (01.bmp, 02.bmp, 03.bmp...)
suggestion 4: if you're using paint and you have trouble cropping the picture, i suggest you use movable mini windows (such as the item inventory) to surround the portion you want to crop.

here's a screen shot to show you what I mean in suggestion 4.

3) the animation programme i use requires the image to be in .gif format. to convert a .bmp file to .gif, i use this programme:

simply click "load bmp" to load your .bmp image, and then click "save gif" to convert it to a .gif format. the reason why i did not save my image in paint as .gif initially was because of the colour loss problem. with this programme, colour loss is kept to a minimum.

4) this is the programme i use to create my frame by frame animations:

open the folder you saved your .gif images in. drag and drop the files into the "Frames" box in the order that your want it to be. then click "Make Animated GIF" to finish up your work.

suggestion5: you may duplicate the same frame by dragging the same file into the box. doing so will enable the frame to 'hold' for a while longer than the rest of the frames

OK thats all for my simple tutorial... if you want the programmes, do contact me and i'll send them over to you. keep experimenting with it and let your creative juices flow! here's another example of what you can create... (this is also called a blinkie)

now, if you have any other methods of creating an animated pic, or have any more queries, or need me to send you the programmes, or created something using my method, let me know alright!!!!!!!!

i just joined a guild --- IllusionZ (SUPER NICE GUILD LOGO). omgomg they're really the friendlyest bunch of ppl in maple man... when the guild leader, ClericGuy first invited me, they all went like "HIHIH WELCOME WELCOME..." and most of them are lv50-60 clerics too! so we'd be most prob training in the same few places. suddenly feel so motivated to train man... at least there's some nice ppl in maple.. not like those bunch of losers ive met..

i wanted to train at coolie zombies... but cannot find map... so i went round to every channel to ask ppl to pass map to me if they wanted to leave. then i got this msg from ChampxSin.. he wanted me to guard the map for him for 15 mins... so i agreed... barely 10mins went by and this farquer GodOfCleric entered the channel. he started to heal those zombies so i healed his mob as well, hoping to give him the signal i was training there. but he didnt leave... he continued to ks me... and i didnt say anything... just continue training lor. then he got tired after a while and went up to the platform... i happy only. but then something stupid had to happen... i accidentally teleported down the bridge... its a glitch... and once u teleport down ur page will get refreshed and u will re-spawn at the platform there... and that farquer, he said that was considered changing map... so he said the channel is his liao... no longer mine... and he happily went down and happily killed those zombies. ks me like some farqued up son of a biatch. i totally dont consider that changing map lah!!! just because i was a victim to that farquing glitch i also became a victim of ks. fortunately ChampxSin came back soon after... but i cannot forgive that GodOfCleric lah... that unreasonable prick... argued with him a lot... he called me a b1tch.... i was merely guarding the channel!!! and for that i was called a b1tch... good people never get what they deserve... i always get taken advantage of...

irritating people in maple:

1) people who defame you for no reason
may these people be hacked cos they really have no reason to exist. if you defame me for ksing you, fine; but if u do so for no particular reason, screw you.

2) people who kill steal
bullies, gah!

3) people who insult your family in arguments
oh, so you got no backbone lah, argument between the both of us must rope in family izzit? so mummy has been pampering you, such that you cant settle a dispute without her. why dont you just go cry to your mummy, loser.

4) people who try to spoil a screen shot on pupose
you wanna take a screen shot with your friends, and just when you guys are ready and everyone's F2-ing, some idiot comes by and stands in the middle of the group and jumps around to spoil the picture.

5) looters
if you wanna take my drops, at least do it discretely lah, then i wont get so pissed.

6) beggers
whenever i go to henesys or kerning pq area, someone there will ask me for items, without fail. it gets especially irritating when they trade me.

7) people who take clerics for granted
after healing them, no please no thank you... quite sad leh... :(

irritating people in Singapore:

1) people who lean on MRT poles
poke their ribs with your fingers if you find people like that... all of us have a right to hold onto the pole leh...

2) people who pick on students in uniform
especially YOU, u sickening #)$(#*)3)*+_@$ b*tch who alighted bus 12 near tjc around 2.30pm on 20th october. (i wanted to take a photo of her, so i can post it here, but that'll be too dangerous) its not the first time i see you pick on students, b*tch. the crazy bus is crowded and there's no space to stand, so what gives YOU the right to say "next time don't stand here ah", or "why cannot move in, inside got ghost izzit?" ?? and what gives YOU the right to particularly pick on students?? its not OUR fault bus 12 goes to tjc and YOU'RE so FAT.

3) people who tap their ez link cards on mrt readers too long
sua ku people who take forever to move their asses out of the mrt gates.

4) people who open their umbrellas and walk in the center of the pathway on rainy days
there ARE other folks around who do not have an umbrella , and are rushing to get out of the rain. its impossible to siam these people who take up the whole pathway unless you dont mind getting poked in the eye by their umbrellas.

5) people who fart in the elevator

stupid day... maple patch not working... first tried to download the manual patch from website, cannot. then went to wizet folder to try the patcher.exe file, dl halfway then got error, cannot. myron managed to help me out tho... now the file has only done 74% since like 6.30pm.

...12 hours of patch! wah liew.. at least i spent most of the day out in school AND trying to understand dota (got cheat to earn money instantly... no fun one..) AND trying to play with a teeny cutesy baby, so it wont be so torturous waiting for the patch to be over...

i will not be on maple (and if i am, it'd be only for 30mins), and will not update my blog for the next few weeks!

reason would be that im studying my darn brains out for the year 1 promos. ive never studied so hard in my life b4.. not even during o levels. but when ure in a school where nearly everyone is a freakin mugger and everyone scores so freakin well for everything, u HAVE to keep up otherwise u may just get retained. if u wanna be a jc student pls bear in mind that a lot of hard work is required! (esp if ure in a freakin mugger school) ive decided to put down my exam dates here so u guys can count down to the day i'll be coming back to maple (AS IF)........

3 oct - gp/chinese
6 oct - maths c
7 oct - physics
10 oct - chemistry/buffet outing with class! =D
11 oct - day out with james =D

fellow maplers, i need some advice on this.

i logged into maple this evening to train xjsmx. as usual, i headed to forest of dead trees 1 and started changing channels to find an empty spot. i noticed this guy called VirginPuppy changing channels as well, so i decided to be quick and change even faster so as to beat him in securing an empty channel.

eventually, i found an empty channel (yipee). it had been barely 10 seconds when this VirginPuppy entered the channel. i left him alone for some time as i thought he would switch channels. however, he didnt. he started ksing my mobs. when i told him i came first and asked him could he please change channels, he refused, claiming that his friend, killarz, went to repot and he was there to 'chope' the channel for him. there are loopholes ive found in this statement...
1) he was changing channels, how could he be choping place for someone? (later he claimed that killarz SUDDENLY msg him and asked him to chope)
2) hadnt i come first? i thought it is an unspoken rule that if there's someone in the channel, leave.
3) isnt repot-ing at one's own risk of losing the channel? i mean, even if i go for a toilet break, i either a) ask friends to help me chope, and ensure that he/she is there before i afk, b) leave and hope no one enters, and if someone did enter, i'll start searching for another channel

anyway, he called his whole gang down after i whispered killarz. (i whispered killarz cos i wanted to see if the claim was true and i wanted killarz to talk sense into VirginPuppy) gangs being gangs, they believed that ksing was the only way to solve a problem. (reminds of chinese movies where they go "lets fight and whoever wins gets the girl"... so they had gangs even then lol) oh btw, this gang consisted of high levels (70+). there was no way blazzinger, RIPbaobei (who were there for support) could out-ks them. and again, gangs being gangs, they only dared to state such a challenge because they were at the upperhand of ks. we did not succumb to their challenge tho, (we were'nt that stupid and immature and ... sore) so we just stood on our ground and continued to attack them verbally.

after a while, they decided that we were of no fun to bully cos we didnt take up the ks challenge, and left. however i suspect this is not the last i'll see of them; i believe they'll be back to taunt at me as they already know my ign.

moral of the story: dont give in to gangs' challenges too easily

friends, i really need ur advice on this, who should have ownership of the channel: me or VirginPuppy.

option no 2 is quite risky i think... cos i expect hinomaru fan to cost a bomb and the price of scrolls will jump incredibly (already costing 1m!!!!!!!!!! =( ). costly business to get the fan.
